Butylated Hydroxytoluene (BHT) is a synthetic compound that is widely used as a food preservative. It is an antioxidant and has been used as an antiviral agent against hepatitis B, hepatitis C, Epstein Barr virus, herpes virus, genital herpes, and cold sores. This IC was made with the help of BHT and vitamin C.

How wld you recommend using this IC. Could I use as a preservative in a ho-made skin care product? I assume good for only 30 days but if one remembers to re-infuse with the IC, would this theoretically work as a preservative in this application?
