Tacrolimus is a powerful immune-suppressing medication used in the topical treatment of severe atopic dermatitis (eczema). Note: THIS IC IS NOT INTENDED TO BE TAKEN INTERNALLY! It is recommended that water imprinted with this IC is used to soak a washcloth or gauze that is then applied topically to the area of dermatitis. Apply topically 2 to 3x daily for at least 15 minutes at a time. Rinse and thoroughly dry the area after each application. It is OK for hands to get wet with this water in the process of making a compress, but it is strongly recommended that you avoid wet hands coming into direct contact with eyes or other mucus membranes.
