Hi, I had a bone graft in my upper jaw on Friday 10 April, everything was fine until I woke up this morning (Sunday 12th April)with my upper lip being swollen, it would seem I have got some bacteria from food (I think) that has somehow gotten in (maybe in the stitched areas) I have only been allowed to eat soft foods and no chewing allowed. What is the best procedure to clear this infection please. I can only see the Dentist on Monday (I hope)?
Lynne, thank you for sharing - and this is important to approach carefully.
Based on your symptoms (swelling after a recent bone graft), this may be part of a post-surgical inflammatory response, but it could also indicate a developing infection, especially around the stitched area.
First priority (very important) Since this involves recent dental surgery:
Please see your dentist as soon as possible, as planned.

If swelling increases, pain worsens, or you develop fever or discharge, seek urgent care sooner
ICs can support the body, but this situation requires proper clinical follow-up.
→ This layer is key here, combining systemic anti-inflammatory support with very targeted local PEMFs for the gums and jaw, which is especially relevant post-surgery.
I do have an appointment today, but there is no pain, bleeding, fever or discharge, just a bit of swelling, I will however work with the IC's you suggested, thank you for your prompt help and advise
Dixie Strunk, best place is directly over the area where your fascia feels tight, painful, or restricted—for example the neck, shoulders, low back, hips, thighs, feet, or wherever the problem is most noticeable. If you’re using it more for whole-body fascia balancing rather than one specific spot, the sternum (center of the chest) is the best general placement because it acts as a central body “broadcast” point.
