40 Hz refers to the binaural beat (the difference between the two tones sent to each ear). The small numbers on the player show the actual left/right ear tones โ here 75 Hz (left) and 115 Hz (right). Their difference is 115 โ 75 = 40 Hz, which is the target gamma beat. For the binaural effect to form properly, please use headphones. ย
