D-Ribose is a type of simple sugar that is naturally found in every living cell of the body. It is a key component of ribonucleic acid (RNA), acetyl coenzyme A, and adenosine triphosphate (ATP). D-Ribose may be used to help support ATP energy production, boost energy, fight fatigue, aid with chronic fatigue syndrome, aid with myocardial dysfunction, improve muscle function, support muscle recovery, enhance exercise performance, improve post-workout recovery, support a healthy heart and muscle tissue, improve skin quality, reduce the appearance of wrinkles, and improve symptoms of certain pain disorders (such as fibromyalgia).
