IC water is safe for animals, and many ICs used for humans can also be used for dogs. Gut Microbiome Balance guidance notes both standard frequency (3×/day, ≥50 ml each time) and that ICs can be used for dogs with a start-low approach. If itching flares seasonally or from histamine triggers, an antihistamine IC like desloratadine can also be imprinted and sipped for itch relief (users are advised 50–200 ml, 3×/day for severe itching), but begin with the two ICs above to keep the plan simple.
