N-Acetylcarnosine is an acetylated form of carnosine, a naturally occurring dipeptide composed of beta-alanine and histidine. It has antioxidant properties and has been studied primarily in eye-drop preparations for supporting the eye’s lens and age-related changes associated with cataracts. It may help support antioxidant protection within the eyes, lens clarity, visual comfort, and healthy aging of the eye.
