I would like to know how long the imprint on cream or oil will last.

Does it matter if the cream is in a plastic container when I imprint it? I don't recall.

Ruthie Gio, for imprinting ICs, the container material matters:
  • Glass is best โ€“ it allows the signal to transfer cleanly.
  • Plastic is okay โ€“ it does not block the imprint, so if your cream is in a plastic container, you can imprint it directly without issue.
  • Metal should NOT be used โ€“ metal blocks the IC signal, so imprinting will not work in metal containers.

Anton SFย Thanks very much! One more question: Does the thickness of a cream make any difference? I have a very thick cream (in a glass jar) that I'd like to imprint.

Ruthie Gio, yes, you can imprint thick cream as well, there is no much difference.
