N-Acetylcarnosine is an acetylated form of carnosine, a naturally occurring dipeptide composed of beta-alanine and histidine. It has antioxidant properties and has been studied primarily in eye-drop preparations for supporting the eye’s lens and age-related changes associated with cataracts.
