Ciprofloxacine is an antibiotic that belongs to the quinolone family. It may help in the treatment of a variety of infectious diseases, including urinary tract and genital infections, especially gonococcal, intestinal, skin, bone, and joint infections, chronic ear and sinus infections, lung, and bronchial infections. It may also help in the prevention of meningococcal meningitis and in the treatment and prevention of infections in adults with a significant decrease in the number of white blood cells.
