Apis mellifica, also known as apis, is a homeopathic remedy made from the honeybee. It is mainly used to help provide relief from swelling, heatstroke, frostbite, rashes, and inflammation of the skin from insect bites that get worse with heat. It may also help with allergies, hives, urinary tract infections, pink eye, styes, edema, insect bites, bee stings, and inflammation caused by arthritis.
i was stung by a jellowjacket and was miserable and whining for 2 days due to crazy swelling, itching and pain. i went online and saw that people recommend apis, almost bought some then realized it could imprint my own. imprinted into aloe vera gel (that i was already using) and the discomfort almost immediately resolved. now 24 hours later it's almost all healed. LOVE INFOPATHY!!!!
I infuse this into a basic lotion (40 minutes, but I don't know if it really needs that long). It works very well to reduce the itch of insect bites. For me, it is better than calamine lotion. Thank you, Infopathy!
