I have found Daniel Knebel's functiona music very affective as an adjunct to treatments.

Molly, it might also be that your nervous system was holding on. If what ever caused the migraine was associated to an underlying trauma of some sort your autonomic nervous system might have been triggered and responded to the perceived threat and body armoured with tension as a response.
